  1. Lord, I appologize. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif Thanks for cleaning that up Keith. But I hope you at least got a laugh out of it. Here's something interesting: http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/reuters/081108/us/politics_us_usa_guns
  2. Well, I hope I don't get kicked off the site for this and I hope you all find nothing more than humour in this. But here is what I've got ta say about it all: http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=544&cat=500
  3. Spec for ICP is .18v to .24v. I would change that ICP. I have seen many cause black smoke.
  4. Another broken F u Q e R . I also call the pods that they are shipped in: a new grenade casing with another black bomb inside.
  5. Here's another topic on this issue: http://www.forddoctorsdts.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=11676&page=4#Post11676
  6. I call em Fu Q eR's. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/flamethrower.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/puke.gif
  7. Yup, sorta. I'm still with Ford. After I prove myself and gain acceptance at the new place, I will post where I am and change my location. Wednesday Oct/29th was my last day, I start my new job on Monday Nov/3rd. I haven't moved my wife and son yet. My son is in Pre-Kindergarten and we really don't want to pull him out of that. We want him to get the head start he deserves. I will be room and boarding it for a while before I move my family. I will also be coming home every Friday night to my wife and son and will be leaving for work every Sunday night. I'll let ya know after 3 months, or maybe a little sooner. I just hope I can prove myself and fill som big shoes. You can reach me at home on the weekends at 403-227-5814. I'm home tonight.
  8. I don't see as many warped heads on the 03' to early 06" model years, although I do see them once in a while. But late 06' to 07' model years are horrible. They are almost always twisted. The extra pony's and torque that ford is straining these engines to would most likely be why we Ford techs see more issues than International techs. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/flamethrower.gif
  9. Just double checkin Keith. I kinda figured that was the way most folks are doin it. But's it's sometimes good to question it just to make sure.
  10. No kiddin, the tank bag on my bike will hold eighteen beer. But you can't pull a travel trailer or a snowmobile trailer with either six sleds or quads on it with a smart car. Not only that, does the term "Smart Car" really suit some of these idiots?
  11. Seems that TSB is obsolete and I can't find the part number. But that's what I was getting at: if you do determine that it is in the body mounts, it would have given you an option to experiment with and possibly fill out one of those lovely GCR's. But from what I'm understaing, your saying that's not an option?
  12. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/scratchhead.gif Hmmm, and some folks think I'm crazy for loving the V10's. Look at what thes idiots spend on diesels just to show off. Most of these idiots just think they need a diesel because it has "Manly" written all over it. They spend $65,000 or $70,000 to start with and then they are disgusted with the fuel economy and maintenance costs. So then they go out and spend more money on cock pumps (lift kits) and steroid injections (programmers or chips) just to compensate for the size of something and the lackl of fuel economy, then they break shit and then complain when nobody wants to help them. As I've said before, the V10 is an engine that does not get near enough recognition. And it all start from sales department. Salesmen won't even offer it as an option because they make more money on diesels and they are all brainwashed into the diesel mentality as well. Don't get me wrong. There are needs for diesels out there, but being grocery getters, daily commuters to work for a few minutes every day, and being toy haulers on the weekends is definatley not good for these new diesels. $8,000.00 less for a V10, 17 or 18 MPG, less maintenace, easier on the front ends, not having to worry about carboning the hell out them, and less labour intensive and cheaper to fix. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/2cents.gif
  13. He may have been distracted and may being kept warm by some Eskimo Women offering a nice warm shot of Mothers Milk. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
  14. I can't remember the TSB number Keith. But it was for 03', 04'ish superduty's with a popping noise in the body mounts over bumps. there was a bodymount isolator that you would put in to get rid of the noise. I am wondering if you could put these isolators into the body mounts of the units you are working on and see if it fixes the problem. I will look for the part number.
  15. I think I'm gonna have some fun and get me a Milwaukee arm twister. But crap, their expensive.
  16. +1. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/drinkingdude.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif
  17. That's a hell of a good idea Keith. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif Just think, they're even alignment dowels.
  18. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rofl.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hahaha.gif Well I'm glad to know they work well. I'm only 6 feet tall and 210lb's. So I may have to let the apprentices do it. I'm still /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rofl.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/hahaha.gif Damn that's funny.
  19. So where are you at now Aaron? Your most likely in the northern hemisphere passing nothing but pine beatle eaten evergreens where there aren't many wifi hotspots. Did you forget to stop in Slavelake for a coffee with Jim? Fo those of you who don't know about the Mountain Pine Beetle: http://www.nvwetlands.com/beetle/ and http://www.nationalpost.com/scripts/story.html?id=466662
  20. Nice. I've done a couple of engines now, but haven't seen a valve like that yet.
  21. I was wondering the same thing.
  22. I have burnt out two half inch electric drills now. But I break the bolts loose by hand and then use a half inch electric drill to turn them all they way out. So here is what I was thinking I was gonna purchase next: http://www.milwaukeetool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_27_40028_-1_684310_192160_192137 This is my favourite part of the tool description: From turning the largest bits into steel to powering grain augers or other equipment that requires portable power, the Super Hole Shooter line of drills can handle it.
  23. Reminds me of that saying: People don't always know what they have untill it's gone. However, if they are really good friends maybe time will help them realize what was lost. I have been in a similar situation to this with one of my best friends but not quite to your extent. Over time my friend eventually called me and appoligized and we have been very good friends for a long time now. I now don't do any side work for free at all. But if a friend needs help putting up a fence and supplies the beer, I am always willing to help but I make them very aware that I expect the same in return. What goes around, comes around. Good luck with your friend situation, but don't let it get to ya. If they don't call back and appoligize eventually, they weren't much of a friend at all in the first place and you had just simply tried too hard. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbup.gif
  24. Not only that, but I forgot to mention that the spark plugs have changed up for the 08's back to traditional style plugs. So maybe these new ones will be better. And the spark plug issue could still be worked on from under the hood with alot less greaf than working on a 6.4L
