With that spacer on it it kinda looks like an aftermarket gizmo. Is it in the main (factory) drive belt routing?

Because a bully dog allows you to set the governor to any speed you want. I have a customer that sets his WELL in excess of 125mph.

I just did so for a 2010 F-350..wasn't there... Not in the PCED either. Maybe the 'Muricans have different WSM info?

Same goes here. I hang onto the keys till I see that it's been paid on my Punch Inquiry screen.

^^^^ I don't see it in there, what vehicle are you pulling up?

"Ahh, I see the fuck-up fairy has visited us once again!"

Somethin' you will ONLY ever forget to do ONCE. Kinda like soldering up the wire all nice, then noticing the heat shrink tube is sitting on the radiator support

All I have to add, is if you're going to jump on this thing, make sure you got it pointed straight ahead

Econoline with a 6.0 in it. I put a turbo on it three months ago for a P0299 and a no power concern (unison ring was broken, had the groove worn in it side to side as well as up and down from it being siezed. Made 2psi boost at WOT) today it's here for a no start hot. Advisor put a comeback sheet on it Everett Sinceyou...FUCK YOU.

Now are you talking about aftermarket benefits from a dealership or otherwise? My benefits are paid for through work, but they aren't very good. The union shop I was at had EXCELLENT benefits, and I never saw a bill for those either. My wife has blue cross and I think she pays about $50 a month for it and it covers glasses, prescriptions, and all other shit that you need to fix yourself up. Unlike most health plans, it also covers birth control, as well as appearance things, like prescription drugs for acne or anything along those lines that most plans don't cover.

I'm almost an American with free health care, I live so damn close! To be completely honest, I couldn't tell you what we pay for OHIP. Apparently it comes off my paycheck, but nowhere on my pay stub does it specifically say where and how much.

I tried to call ya Dwayne - but I guess you gave me your home number, and I didn't know SL had the same area code as Edm.

I likes it. I like the grille on the first truck on the page...wonder if converting my 08 to look like a '11 is possible. I am unsure as tho the claims about fuel economy though, didn't Ford tell us the 6.4 was gonna be a fuel miser?
-
How true is this.

Anyone notice that the labor times took a little climb this month? Fuel pressure test on a 2005 Ex pays .4 instead of .2 now.... Things are lookin up...just as the 05's go out of warranty

'Cause Wikipedia, an encyclopedia written by it's users, is a set-in-stone reference for anything, especially something that most people think is "OK". Go on there and find a topic about smoking reefer - I bet there will be some mention in there of it being ok, but at the bottom line - both of these things (smoking dope, and defeating federally mandated emissions control) are AGAINST THE LAW, at the very minimum. Not even getting into the ethical aspect of it.

Jim - I wasn't trying to say that the emissions equipment CAUSES driveability concerns. I will agree with you that some of the stuff from back in the day was pretty rudimentary and crude and didn't work all that well. I was saying that a LOT of work has gone into making these controls work hand in hand with the existing equipment, and as far as I've seen, most of the software that allows their removal merely shuts off the DTC's for the particular device (EGR for example) and doesn't alter anything else to compensate for it. I mean, really, all it takes is to watch the VGTDC and EGRDC pids on the same screen during a road test to show that they work together a lot of the time. I agree with you on the hot rod vs. daily driver. My Malibu? Pfft. Emissions. Yeah. Right. 13.4:1 big inch small block chevy, on 112 LEADED fuel. How much run time does it see a year? Not much. I rev that fucker up in the driveway, and I can SEE the hole in the ozone get bigger...I'ma have to switch that fucker over to methanol...C16 is way too expensive. My Super Duty? Runs at LEAST 40-50 MILES a day, all the emissions machinery is on it. I'm currently getting between 18 - 21 mpg, depending on fuel quality and how heavy traffic is - including regen events. So you can't make me believe that removing the DPF and CAT is the be-all and end-all for fuel mileage. Yes, my truck has tuner on it. 24,000 MILES, and this is the tailpipe. (Warning: Tailpipe shot enclosed.) FWIW, I have seen stock trucks with sooty pipes on them. I'd rather pay a little more for fuel (How much more economy is a 8000LB truck gonna get - it weighs 7920LBS without my big ass in it and about 3 gallons of fuel in it) than not be able to breathe. I am interested to see what's coming out of the tailpipe on my truck when it's in regen, but from what I can see in the pipes at this mileage, I would say that the aftertreatment system is doing it's job. I got it smogged about two months back. Z-E-R-O Opacity on the emissions test, which is done at WIDE OPEN THROTTLE. Seems to me it's a fairly clean machine.

LIke you said, maybe it's gotta see it a bunch of times. IIRC, we were told in school that the PCM usually needs to see a fault twice before it flings the lamp on.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Even around all the ramifications the removal of the emissions equipment has (I agree with you on it fucking up the environment, Jim) a lot of these emissions devices actually do play a part in driveability, more than Joe Schlub who's only concern is "Taking that goddam thing off"...now we have all sorts of fucky driveability concerns that weren't there before...and the customer blames FoMoCo or Navistar for this. I have a little card I keep a stash of in my toolbox, reading the following: "Your criticism of this product reveals a very unsound technical background."
