2006/6.0 I need to get it so the truck is usable, rads are 3-5 days, all the Edmonton guys are hoarding them

Some guys had some repair ideas for this. I had a helper this morning, who didn't notice the small hose nipple on the rad when shoving the shroud into place. I was under the truck guiding the shroud into the rad, and the piece fell through and bounced off my forehead. I can't find the thread on here with repair ideas.

Truck isn't here yet...still weighing it out. Next monday is the appointment.

WAAAAAAAAY more work than a Ford cab. I don't think, either, in the GM manual, it tells you to pull the cab to do head gaskets, but I don't know for sure. That video looks like it's from the viewpoint of a pain in the ass customer.

I'm not adverse to him paying me for wore out junk that Ford don't want back However, he only buys in lots of 10.

Not to mention - the driveline in a transit is quite similar to a focus...

That's okay, a tech at the shop I used to work at put a shortblock in a Fusion for what apparently was a bedplate leak, without doing the prior approval process first. It goes over the cost cap, claim bounces. Prior approval is submitted...hotline replies with PUT A LONGBLOCK IN IT

FWIW - Motor manual says 27 & change hours for a longblock R&R.

Told him that was the BARE MINIMUM to do the job, if the truck ONLY needed head gaskets when I get it apart, which I also told him, wasn't very likely. I am leaning towards the head is either so warped you could put your lunchbox between the straightedge and the deck surface, or it's got a cracked head. This thing is pushing the coolant out the degas bottle as fast as I can put it in. This is the truck with the bad IAT2 sensor that was causing the coolant in the EGR cooler to boil, that's what was causing the degas venting.

Gave customer estimate. He says, Wow, that much, without replacing the heads? (Quoted it as gaskets, told him it will likely need heads warpage/cracking yada) How much to put a complete motor in it?

Any suggestions on this one? 07 F-350, 217k miles, needs heads. Will need some extra time to disconnect light rack and airbag gauge for towing helpers for a cab lift. What's the number of hours you guys are charging for this? Thanks in advance!
