  1. Wait till we get to remanufacture FICMs and change the DC-DC inverter inside. That'll be special. Now we can rebuild the engine, and ALL THE MANAGEMENT COMPONENTS, TOO!
  2. I think, personally, ARP's track record speaks for itself. I ran ARP studs on my smallblock, with LOTS of compression, and LOTS AND LOTS of nitrous, and never had any real issue. I've never had a great deal of issue with the ARP studs, but my thoughts are if you're replacing a failed component with one of the same design (bolts/gaskets) is only asking for a repeated failure. I think though when people are gonna abuse the hell out of a truck, the best thing to do is try to aid in the vehicle LIVING through the abuse, and I think the ARP studs are definitely a step in the right direction.
  3. That valve is likely bent. Air up the hole and get the keepers put back on, then do a compression test while you're there. Just my .02
  4. ^^^ especially since there's about 900 billion of them that've been changed or are still in service.
  5. Depends on how good my kidneys and liver happen to be working that day, I guess.
  6. "Just order me one of everything, that oughta fix 'er up." Then I gotta take a whiz in the fuel tank, and she'll be good to roll again.
  7. This sounds like a hell of a good idea. Unless the 6.7 uses a quite similar engine management and fuel delivery system as the 6.4, not only could this be a dangerous operation, but a costly one for Ford, too. Let me guess, no shop manuals till after it comes out, either?
  8. Then cut and paste the URL from the original post into the proxy server. Bang. One extra vote per machine per day. And apparently it only works with firefox...it sent my internet explorer for a poop when I tried it.
  9. http://www.zend2.com/DoIt.php?u=Oi8vd3d3...5&f=norefer if you use THIS link, it will allow you to vote again, on the same day.
  10. $20? Now I know where the spring outta my pen went! http://www.gillettdiesel.com/gdsfuelspring.aspx
  11. The thing that concerns me is the training planner goes all the way to December, and I show no classes for the 6.7, which is slated to begin production in February, from what the president of Ford Canada told me a couple weeks ago when he was at our shop.

Well why don't they ALL know this...the guy told me to look at that this morning, when I called in. Oh well. Thanks for the info!
  15. I was told to reference this by the Hotline. Anyone able to read it on the US side? It may not have been translated into french yet, which may be why I can't see it. Doesn't show up on Protechnican.com, either. Hmm. Thanks in advance!
  16. These are usually the ones that have the rotor face worn off, and the pad backing plate halfway through the vents. "Just started making noise as I pulled in here!"
  17. The cab-off on the 08 truck video is impressive. Can't stand the sound track, but impressive - i believe we were teasing Rex with that video.
  18. I don't recall seeing any without the perforations in the top, I've changed 2 or 3 of them now. Any others in stock to compare it to?
  19. I actually welded a soup can on for a kid when I was at the indy garage. They're now Soup Can exhausts, forever. It was a Chunky soup can. Sounded very, very authoritative at idle. As for the racecar - went up a half block at about 1/3 throttle. Cops were here before we even got it back to the house.
