  1. You could trade in REAL new shit on that program, as long as the economy it got was shitty. Any hot rod guys in the bunch - there was a 1987 GNX clunkered. Not a Grand National...but a fucking GNX. I have the list, if Keith wants to host it.
  2. I have an asphalt truck here with a diverter box installed right before the tailpipe diffsers, to force exhaust into the box to heat the asphalt. Had a P0272, P0652, 02138 and P2456. Truck had no throttle pedal response. Found the diverter forcing exhaust to the box, set it to normal tailpipe operation and truck returned to normal with nothing else done. Truck has had a PCM, pedal, and DPF pressure sensor installed at another facility. Could the 100 cubic foot tailpipe extension be causing the loss of VREF if the DPF pressure sensor goes out of range? It also appears the DPF is damaged - black smoke at a WOT snap. As per FMC - no modifications of the exhaust is permitted - have spoke with body builder they claim no other reports of this type. Any ideas, ladies and gentlemen? Been chasing this everywhere, found no chafes at any of the known locations, no spread pins anywhere, and I can't recreate the concern now. VREF stays constant at all times, truck is at the latest cal, and like I said - has new APP/DPF Pres/PCM parts cannon unloaded on it.
  3. I couldn't think of the "real" name for it, or how to spell it, for that mattter. LOL
  4. I just did an Edge water pump. Dropped the subframe out the bottom and did it that way. I don't have the patience to screw around in that small of a space that ain't attached to a woman.
  5. I just fixed one, there was fucking coolant EVERYWHERE - it was the seal on the radiator hose to the thermostat housing (housing was all ratty)
  6. ^^^^ ROFL I think I charged r&r intake (8.0 or 8.5 I can't remember) .2 to change the cooler, had the intake boiled, can't remember what i quoted on the oil cooler, gave the cooling system the good ol' VC9 flush - rockin' and rollin, back in service. Oh, That truck needed a FICM and a fan clutch, also. Has anyone seen the tim eto replace an EGR valve retail on a 6.0 from the Mitchell on demand? An hour, not including diag? Uhhh...
  7. 25 hours to put fucking coolers on?! I could do it in less than 25 hours with only a fucking claw hammer and vise grips!!!
  8. Yeah I was just gonna say, didn't you get 'em for a 7.3 Nice find Larry!
  9. I have here a fine example of a 06 6.0 with 140k miles on the clock. Retail. Needs an oil pan (smashed), front and rear cover gaskets, crank and cam sensor seals, hpop cover, oil cooler housing gasket. About the only thing not leaking is the bedplate. Would it be advised to pull the motor and reseal the WHOLE WORKS so when the bedplate starts to leak in 3 weeks he doesn't have to pay for all the gaskets again? What would be fair for a labor time for a retail bedplate reseal?
  10. I hope you flagged that fucker in Oasis... Next dealer down the road may get it for some driveability concern, and I'm sure the customer will pipe up and say "Oh yeah, I filled it with gasoline by accident!"
  11. What is the EGT sensor in the RH up pipe doing during the concern?
  12. Quote: Legendary wrestling figure Captain Lou Albano, perhaps best known for his association with pop singer Cyndi Lauper, died Wednesday. Albano, 76, was "one of the company's most popular and charismatic legends," the company said in a statement. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed. "Albano began his storied career with Vincent J. McMahon in the 1960s as one half of 'The Sicilians' tag team with his partner Tony Altimore," the WWE said. "He will be greatly missed by the WWE and his fans." Albano, who was with the WWE from 1983 to 1996, was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996. He started as a tag team wrestler in the 1950s but became a successful manager of champion wrestlers in the 1970s, according to a biography on the WWE Web site. Albano was recognizable by his penchant for unbuttoned Hawaiian shirts and a trademark beard, which was usually bound by a rubber band. His persona earned him the distinction of "one of the most hated men" in wrestling for 15 years, the WWE biography said. Albano's image evolved in the 1980s, when he teamed with Lauper on several music videos, such as "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," and wrestling appearances. As his celebrity status grew, Albano landed acting jobs, including a role on several episodes of the "Miami Vice" TV series, the biography said. Albano became a cartoon in 1989, when he was the voice of Mario "Jumpman" Mario for 17 episodes of "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!" according to the Internet Movie Database.
