  1. Put an alignment bar in the cam pin slot and whack it with a hammer. Ta-da! You probably can't claim replacement of the CHRA and the Unison ring together. Or, if you can now...you won't be able to soon.
  2. Truck still have DPF/Cat on it? I have heard some fairly negative things regarding Edge's DPF delete hardware.
  3. I hit a mattress in my Suburban once on the 401 Highway near Guelph. Dragged that fucker for a mile and a half before it flew out. Moments before, I was laughing at the guy with the KIA in front of me - with the mattress on the roof, flopping around. And moments later, there it was. In front of me.
  4. No sir, my own personal 2008 F-350 CC 4x4. 6.4PSD 3.73 screws in the housings. 75-80mph was roughly around 2100-2300RPM if I remember correctly. I avereaged most of the trip at around 70, but the closer that I got to home, the faster I found the truck going, and the more often I found myself checking that "SPEED LIMIT 45MPH" sticker on the fender of the U-Haul trailer
  5. Check my find the standpipe thread, that motor had low oil pressure, also
  6. Actually, when I was towing back to Ontario, I ran cruise almost the whole way back, and it wasn't actually that terrible when it went up hills. (I had the momentum of 75-80 mph all the time though ) The boost gauge would climb to about 38-40psi, and if it started to fall off, then the truck would kick down one gear, but I only ever saw it do that once or twice.
  7. +100000 If'n I was gonna do an upgrade on a 04-up 6.0 truck, I would switch up to the early build EGR cooler after making a custom adapter to include the 'scoop' in the up-pipe, as the early build motors use throttle plate to help add EGR flow. Just my .02
  8. Quoted for truth. Couldn't have said it any better. There was a maintenance electrician that worked at Talbotville Assembly that was at my shop over 45 minutes away (ONE WAY) while he was on the clock at the Ford plant.
  9. Ever had cruse on at 90-100 in a 6.4 PSD truck, slowed to 60, then rocked the 'RESUME' button? Hope you don't have anything on the dash, or a window down with a loose hat on, or that fucker's going out the window. Why upset about the tires, Uncle Keith?
  10. Mine just bought one. Loves it. Only real repeat issues with escapes I see is ABS tone rings, and those shitty continental tires. The odd control arm bushing, though.
  11. Call, e-mail, whatever...we do ours by email also. But do you get your time covered for that?
  12. Hey look! There it isn't! Bottom of the oil filter. Standpipe spring is stuck in it, the spring for the drainback valve fell off, its down in the housing somewhere. Top of the filter It was so nice out, I just rolled the chassis right outside to thrash on it after I got the floor marked to the chassis properly and the steering locked straight. QUESTION: DO THEY DIP THOSE REMANS IN PAINT, OR WHAT?
  13. There was a Lincoln LS in the shop a while back, had blown the side seat airbag, triggered by the sensor directly below the seat. Pull the carpet and there's 2 0GA wires, and four sets of RCA cables draped right across the sensor, as well as the wiring to the sensor Electomagnetic Interference much?
  14. The thing that still sucks though, is say you have a definite head gasket failure. You get P.A. to pull it. You pull the head off, measure it, and it's fucked. Now you have to call P.A. again, to get ANOTHER approval code to replace the head? Do I get to claim the Prior Approval opcode twice? Thrice?
  15. Feed the fucker the gas axe for a few minutes before you send it back, it'll leak.
  16. Fuck that Dwayne - put an EGR cooler on it - that bulletin only applies after June 8th!
  17. Now it's 1.0 Don't forget the .4 for coolant loss diag.
  18. Even for a fucking EGR cooler. Prior approval must be obtained before removing heads. So I get approval to pull heads, and then once it get it apart, it needs heads, so I get to get prior approval again? Fuck me.
  19. I have a can of this stuff in my toolbox. ARP #100-9906
  20. No, it's a grey single axle F-350 extended cab. Was probly eligible for buyback though...
