  1. Come to Windsor this weekend and borrow my known good IDM.
  2. What happens if you unplug the PATS module from the remote start module, then try programming the keys? Maybe the remote start module is constantly powering up the remote start/pats interface causing your interference? Or try peeling that disc off the transceiver to see if something's interfering with the signal from the key. When you are programming the keys, are you using the "add a key" in the IDS, or are you deleting all programmed keys and programming two new keys?
  3. Your cutaways are the coolest things, ever.
  4. I wanna see the look on the guy's face at the dealer when he tells them that.
  5. Sounds like you'd be the guy to know, for sure
  6. Oh...my...god... I just about peed myself. FUCK that was funny.
  7. I saw a sticker on an F-series yesterday: If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. I know three people that are currently in the land of sun and sand. Hoping they make it back, big time.
  8. OD light flashing or does it work when you press the OD cancel button?
  9. Can't explain the surging, but make sure the O/D OFF wiring isn't chafed on the column somewhere. Is the O/D light flashing? Lots of miles on this unit?
  10. I wonder if he will be my pal on Myspace? http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=115001489
  11. Ok so I had a look. It shows in HVBOM that this vehicle has a cat and DPF on it, but what I'm failing to understand is how a DPF lives on regular diesel/kero/jet fuel? Says in "Features" in HVBOM : ENGINE - EMISSION REQUIREMENTS DGAAE 50 STATE EMISSION REQS but then in another breath, it states: FUEL - DIESEL FUEL CONTENT GBYAC HI SULFUR DIESEL FUEL CONTENT This one's a head scratcher.
  12. Well, it hasn't had the venturi recall, it must need a rad, too Got any pics of this hot-rod?
  13. This truck come with emissions control delete, or was it removed after the fact? Be interesting to see the HVBOM and Asbuilt for this machine. Does the placard under the hood reflect the removal of emissions equipment?
  14. The one I put back together today had the living guts undercoated out of it - so it was easy to see where the cab was sitting when I put it back together.
  15. Just did one yesterday. 09 E-series manual. Like Dwayne said...put a sheet in the damn bag!
  16. I MT the whole fuckin' job. MT12B637 IIRC. MAN those SUCK ASS. Happy birthday dude!
  17. I never really thought of pulling the FRONT seats out...maybe this is the way to go so you don't need an extra set or two of hands to yank that heavy-ass back seat out. Did one today. NO FUN, I hate that you can't get the back seat(s) apart and gotta take 'er out all as one unit.
  18. Mike- Was there combustion gases and fuel in the coolant from the blown headgasket? Maybe requiring the use of TSB 08-23-1? How much punch time do you have in it so far?
  19. I seem to recall a similar situation posted on another site, where a mechanic rebuilt a transmission in a GMC Suburban. The parking pawl failed, while the family was sleeping in it, camping, and the truck rolled into a lake and they all drowned. He was charged in a similar manner IIRC. Quote: Sgt. Connolly's investigators discovered Mr. Fabian was not a state certified mechanic, either. I'd say the shop would be at least PARTIALLY responsible for letting a non-certified guy fix brakes on the weenie-wagon.
  20. Duhhhhh. Sounds like you an me know the same morons.
  21. Sez you can use that op with other repairs if you've got the engine out/cover off/etc.
  22. I think intake and HPOP and both front and rear covers is included in the bedplate reseal, isn't it? What's WPI?
