  1. Mom said you gotta come home and watch your little brother.
  2. Shop near me did the following on a buddy's pickup. Diag Replace 4 cups Replace 8 injector nozzles Replace 8 injector o-ring sets Replace both UVC harnesses and add clips They charged him $900. PARTS AND LABOR AND TAX IN. Unreal.
  3. Yeah, 05 and up they can blow apart on. I think the 09 and 10 E-series vans come with it installed already, but I'm not sure on the 08's. I think the 08's may have had the bracket installed on them, I'm not 100 percent sure though.
  4. I figured that the sensor in the mirror was going to cause problems also, someone bashes the mirror off, then grabs one quick off an 08 in the yard to have a mirror on the truck, and now the CEL is on. Or how about when the truck with the BLACK PLASTIC MIRROR on it sits in the sun all day...what's the Environment Temp Sensor gonna read then?
  5. But the thought DID enter my mind!
  6. More so for portability. I have recently gone through a fairly shit filled few months, and I am going to be moving, and likely renting, so I don't know about renting a place and adding shit to it, they might frown upon that.
  7. Hey dude, in the second to last picture there, I don't think your windshield would pass our rigorous 138 point used car inspection. Email for the tunage is big_angry_hillbilly at yahoo dot ca That's dot CA not dot COM, on account that I live in Canada. And it's a holiday here, so I am clearly recovering from the bender to end all benders. Can someone please make my keyboard quieter....
  8. We had one at our dealer as a demonstrator from FoMoCo, as well as a Fiesta. That was two weekends ago. We now have our first fiesta in stock, so I would assume the edge is not too far behind.
  9. Give me a call tonight Jimmy
  10. 6.4's broke off the hauler, too, in cold climates. Hot rod jockeys hammering the ass off of them before the turbos got oiled properly.
  11. How bout some downloadable MP3's? That's some pretty good shit, there.
  12. It's Forrest.. I give this a lot of thought, as I am still plagued by back pain that nobody will fix. Went for a neuro consult. Yeah, we don't need to surgically fix it, just keep taking fucking pills forever. Lucky fuckin' me! However, there is not a whole lot I know how to do other than this, nor is there anything I have paper qualifications to do, other than this. Kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place, at this point. If I could satisfactorily get my back fixed and not be in constant blinding pain, I would likely have a little less bleak outlook on things. I tried the hotline. No dice. I was even going to be a warranty Nazi. No dice. Couldn't get a work permit to work in the USA. I would like to stay with Ford, and I would like to keep wrenching, but I need to keep my health in mind. Like I said before -- if I could get my fuckin' discs fixed -- I'd be back at 'er as good as new.
  13. Yeah, I recall being told 10% is the happy number. But like Keith said... Is 9% OK? WHY is it at 9%? Is it an injector problem? Does the engine have a weak cylinder? A vicious circle, this is.
  14. We've only sold two of them so far. Had one in for a tire re-sizing (which I couldn't do, anyway because the tire size is out of range) as well as a drivability concern that the salesman couldn't duplicate, nor could I duplicate, with the customer. He complained of a 'jerkiness' at parking lot speeds. The customer, the salesman, myself, and hotline, all feel that this is likely because of the overly touchy pedal on the trucks.
  15. What about the old school SEIC controller, like in the old 7.3 trucks, could one of them be adapted? Or just cut them a length of broom handle to go between the seat and the accelerator pedal.
  16. Mike give me a shout at home sometime tomorrow
  17. I was just gonna say, can't coolant/steam intrusion cause some weird injector shit to occur? Things are maybe rusted/corroded up from steam or something? That's almost as perfect as a storm as Bradley's 5.4 cover fiasco in another thread on here. Some days luck is just not in the cards.
  18. Improper installation, too bad, so sad, I'd say.
  19. Yeah, but it's the same as the Expedition fuel rail recall...they started off at over 400 bucks, last one I did was about 70 i think warranty cost was on it. Parts are still not available yet, anyhow. So I'll keep slapping FICMS on with "AS PER BULLETIN PARTS NOT AVAILABLE TO PERFORM REPAIR"
  20. If you are doing it warranty, make sure you have a head gasket and bolt set to return, they are gonna ask for it since WSM procedure says to take the head off to replace the cups.
