  1. 16 is kinda high.... I'd say borderline if anything. I would compare it to a like unit, or a unit with fresh heads and see what you end up with.
  2. Smoke the exhaust system through the EBP tube and make sure you don't have a cracked flex-pipe.
  3. Should also to be of note, that EOT is significantly higher than ECT with the grille cover installed, as well in regeneration the ECT/EOT spread goes through the fucking ROOF.
  4. I like how he's got his pulled to the right just a little bit, like them kids that wear the baggy pants and shirts that are about 14 sizes too big
  5. No fuel pressure measurement on a 6.0 unless you hook a gauge onto it. Can we see pics of your magic injector tester? That sounds like a neat rig. $85 is ridiculously cheap for a 6.0 injector. The Ford ones retail between $423 and $432 depending on year. Retail pricing, that is.
  6. I'd post it but I don't see it in a PDF or anything, let me ask the parts manager where he got it.
  7. Parts manager gave that W-A-N to me on Friday.
  8. I agree with both of you guys, and have done that LOTS of times. The last couple chip vans i worked on, had a junction box about 8' from the back of the truck, where the chassis wiring joined to the box-builder wiring. There was a junction block, and from the yellow and green wires, to ground, was a separate resistor to simulate the load of an incandescent bulb. It looked like a ballast resistor from an ol shitbox Dodge. Like you guys said, a LED flasher seems to be the right way to fly.
  9. Who's sitting at home hand porting a race car intake manifold? I know I are!
  10. AH for FUCK'S sake....I just did a couple of those. What's the issue? Trucks I did 'em on started and ran OK? knock on wood.
  11. Does it do it KOEO, too? If it does it with out the fuel pump running, i'd say you got a bad sensor. Being an 09, could you compare it to a lot unit? How's the pin fit look on the connector?
  12. Ahem...sir...it's the 14th LOL What's the mystery goo?
  13. My truck took almost 15,000km to clear the P1000 for the first time.
  14. Not that it's unnecessary but you guys should see the lockout shit up on the mine trucks.
  15. That was a top quality road repair. My driveway has less holes in it than that track does!
  16. Cut and paste from their website: WE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE You can Now, Purchase Monster Deisel™ Online You fuckers can't even spell DIESEL right? Dee dee dee!
  17. I'm hungry. But this should come as no surprise, to those of you that know me.
  18. Isn't an F550 limited to 75mph or so? I had one of these awhile back, (albeit an F-350) guy stated it would just 'slow down' after driving it for long periods of time. Same deal, P1000, and the one time it came in it had an overspeed code. After extensive road testing, inconclusive. I eventually got the truck to set a P040D for the EGT sensor. From what I have been told, when this sensor goes out of range, or over temp, the engine de-rates. There is no indication of this on the message center, or anywhere else. The truck will just slow until the EGT comes back into range, and then power will be restored. I guess this sensor was just on the edge of being fucked to the point where it could set a code, but would still de-rate the engine. After seeing the issue a bunch of times, there was a code set for the sensor, but the MIL did not come on, ever. Just something to look at. I was not given a spec by the hotline regarding what temperatures this occurs at though, sorry I can't help out with you there. Why is he driving a LOADED F-550 at 75mph, anyway?
  19. I've looked down the flashing fast road before, is there a... i wanna call it a ballast resistor across the signal lead to ground somewhere? To simulate the load that a bulb would place on the circuit that an LED lamp does not? Any cute little boxes under the chassis anywhere that the wiring goes to? This sounds like a real nightmare. You could always feed un-fused 12v power to the circuit in question, and look for the smoke leak.
  20. Does it have LED brake/tails in it? Sounds like you got a couple issues, but a !?@#%! ground is the first thing that comes to mind... or maybe some fucky wiring on the column that's chafed through?
  21. Hey, they took it back, and put all the non torched shit on it. That fucker got sent out to someone again.
  22. At this point would it maybe be quicker/less grief to swap in a set of sensors? I dunno what they're worth, or if this is a viable option.
