1984 6.9 :cheers-jeers: hard start- oil leaks- coolant leak Customer states " had it to a another mechanic but it still leaks"

02 f-350 oil leaks everywhere oh and the powertrain is an 06 e-series. Kind of a cobbled together pile. 2005 E-450 big yellow school bus no crank -- a/c pulley tight, idler stuck.

Most casual pullers here went to gas already. This diesel market has been shrinking very fast the past few years.

Looking to update at home personal laptop. You guys have tech knowledge about pc's. So I thought I would ask. Where do you purchase yours? (amazon-Microsoft-best buy-?) (this would replace an old 2004 dell that still works) My wife and I both have had multiple laptops but these were all purchased by employers. This would be personal use, couple kids in house, not a game playing machine. Just homework-video play-family pictures etc.. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Remember that 08 6.4 used engine that I told them they should not install.... Well after I warned them the customer and salvage yard said it should be ok, we have a video of it running. After I transferred everything over and was ready to set it in The customer decided not to install it now. So here it sits on my hoist until the new used engine gets here.

Well got the "go ahead and install that sludge covered 6.4 it should be fine we have video of it running" I have a feeling this story is not over.

Started working on the 08 6.4 customer bought a used engine for it. took a look inside through the glow plug hole, 1/4 inch thick sludge covering everything. Now we wait...customer trying to find another engine.

Observation---Automotive equations. New tech + Penetrating fluid+ Shop rag + Rusted wheel bearing + small butane torch = Large Fire Ball New tech + Detail shop tech + fire + Smart phone = Two guys watching fire ball and making video

We were about the same that -20 plus. The one was towed it was kind of a bugger to get started after all that. It is amazes me, these all are owned by people who have had diesel trucks for years.

The ones I have done, the air noise through the oil filter housing is a gurgling noise not air noise.

That one drives me nuts. Last week no kidding had truck 0 miles to empty.

I agree they are more of the trick type question, more so than other months. I tanked this one spent tons of time looking up the info, I found the info but was still confused what the best ford answer was.

I get to install a pillar gauge set on 2014 f-350, trans temp, oil press. exhaust temp, boost, and display module of some kind.

2 lifts wow. The powertrain lift here consists of a step stool made of 2x4's and some blocks of wood.

For what its worth, Both 2.0 and 1.6 I have done went out the bottom. And I followed the shop manual.

I have been taking the 3 bolts out and tip up the whole thing. hold it in place with a bungee chord.

Wait till you get one that was leaking...fill out on-line form, part numbers labor prices wait....then get a whole .3 more to replace the booster. If don't stock it you end up doing it all over.

All up and running ok here, as of now.

I have a MAC 3/8 drive TW250R torque wrench with broken head teeth. MAC has it discontinued, if I send it in they would only sell me the upgrade. Does anyone have an idea where else I could find a replacement head kit? I would bet there is a company that still sells them somewhere.
