  1. Had another today with a P0297 flagged in continuous memory, no MIL.
  2. Oh, and the rear wipers aren't synchronized, either. This would definitely exclude this vehicle from my potential list of purchases. There's an SSM for this...can you believe that it was actually a complaint?
  3. I've never had a truck with a standalone p0297, (always other codes too..) I didn't know it would fling the light.
  4. Not without some clever workaround crap. All they need is a tattletale system or a GPS monitoring system. Fire anyone that goes faster than 120. After 4 or 5 guys get fired...I bet everyone will go the speed limit.
  5. I drove a flex with ecoboost today. Man does that fucker get at 'er!
  6. 'Scuse me, Sir...my associates tell me there should have been 15 bricks in that ranger tank.....
  7. They got tired of having to repackage the International Harvester ones
  8. I could MAYBE buy into it a little bit if the EBP tube was in the RH manifold and you could force that shit though the manifold at pressure, although most of it wouldn't likely make it through the EGR cooler.
  9. Quote: 2718 - 2010 TRANSIT CONNECT - TRAILER TOWING WARNING THE 2010 TRANSIT CONNECT IS NOT EQUIPPED TO TOW. PER THE OWNER GUIDE PAGE 151(TIRES, WHEELS AND LOADING SECTION) NEVER TOW A TRAILER WITH THIS VEHICLE. NO TOWING PACKAGES ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. FORD DOES NOT APPROVE OF AFTERMARKET TRAILER HITCH RECEIVERS. I have a feeling sales just dropped off a little more...
  10. The truck I was talking about was a 2002, IIRC. You have to take the little barrel thing apart on the fuel tank sender to get the screens out. This one would pull 25" vacuum on the pump inlet as soon as you fired it up, and would actually run pretty good. When you got on it, the fuel pressure would drop to 0 psi, and it wouldn't run half bad for about 1/2 of my "big circle" road test (roughly 10km, most of which is 90km/h and above) (ahem. 6.21504 miles at 55.93536MPH ) After the halfway point, the truck would start to lose speed. By the time I got almost back to the shop, it wouldn't go faster than about 35mph with the accelerator pedal pressed down to about the oil filter. Seems to me, that it wasn't setting any codes, but I can't recall.
  11. Ok who else ran the thing on the limiter on the 3D view, trying to blow it up? Thats cool as hell!
  12. I was wondering how this EGR cleaning garbage actually did anything at all... The only way for this to have ANY sort of positive effect, at all, in my opinion, is you'd have to feed it into the rear of the cooler, or the up pipe before the cooler exhaust inlet, running it through the cooler, and EGR inlet and outlet and valve itself...but the time required to set all this up, or PERMANENT modifications necessary to the truck to make it happen, in my opinion, would be more cost/time prohibitive than pulling the intake and having it cleaned properly, as Keith suggested.
  13. I wondered how long before you found your way over here. Sincerely, Your Pal, Big Angry Hillbilly
  14. Fuel pressure? I had one doing the same thing, and the filters were plugged in the sending unit. Power seem ok, even when it's running like poop?

    7.3 cylinder head

Parts shows two numbers for a 1995, one with 8 bolt intake pattern, and shows a number different than both for 2000. Maybe try calling a machine shop and checking if they physically work. Aside from that, I can't be much more help to ya.
  16. 67 Cent rule....instead of having to put that sensor on every truck, they only had to send one to each dealership. Savin' money, that's what it's all about.
  17. Ontario is the same way - one safety is good forever, basically. Commercial vehicles and trucks over 4500 RGW are subject to annual inspection.
  18. As long as you use a plastic spatula the teflon stays on the pans pretty good. Maybe a plastic unison ring is in the works?
  19. The only way you can do that job in less than 4.3 hours is throw the fucking mode door on the seat.
  20. I was watching this show about prisons, and they are talking about how they have to check every vehicle as it comes in and out of the prison. I see a guard lifting the hood of an 05-07 F-550 (judging from the Powerstroke emblem on the door) and before the hood even hits it's maximum up travel, the look on his face is like "Holy shit! No room to hide anyone in there!" and he slams the hood. I was laughing my ass off, and my girlfriend is looking over at me like "Uhh...what's so damn funny?"
