  1. Have you tried swapping a set of four wheels off a stock unit and road tested, to see if this resolves the vibration issue?
  2. My money is on the FICM/injector harness (5C3Z-9D930-A) shorting out on the intake manifold studs, causing the stalling.
  3. I'm already WAY ahead of you there Dwayne. When he posted his pictures of his little "adventure" with his truck, I tried to enhance the license plate image at the back of the truck. I couldn't refine the picture enough to be able to read the digits (Michigan only uses rear license plates).
  4. I would think that's EXACTLY why he disabled comments on all his videos. You think he may already have been "beaten up" the way good old Rex is right now? Speaking of which................has anybody actually taken the time to research whether or not he has his own forum where we can post on?
  5. DAMN!!! And I thought the 09B08 was costing Ford a mint. That ones gotta be costing Yota some BIG coin!!!
  6. This wouldn't be caused by the old input shaft snapping would it?
  7. Both the tranny guys in my shop have gotten fucked over with the very scenario you described, including one where the tech directed to tear it apart, wait for approval, replace the variator assembly, only to be told to put in a new unit AFTER he had already assembled it with a new variator assembly!!! All this is going on while his bay was down, with a vehicle in the air that couldn't be pushed out of the shop.
  8. Better yet, why don't YOU invite HIM here Keith?
  9. Did you guys see the latest post by this meatball? I just about pissed myself from laughing so hard at those photos! Who is this "Ford Girl" chick anyways?
  10. I'm not much of a parts guy myself. But the two numbers I can come up with are as follows: 1U2Z-14S411-BGA (WPT-152) : 4-wire male 3U2Z-14S411-PXA (WPT-525) : 3-wire female HOPE THIS HELPS
  11. Looks too much like an '07 to current generation Camry if you ask me.
  12. Luckily, I take my coffee STRAIGHT black (no cream, no sugar, no ANYTHING), so I don't have those problems.
  13. ....and who paid you for the time you got into this mess?
  14. Ditto for me. Just did one yesterday.
  15. Make sure you check the heads for warpage and replace as necessary. This is NOT a job I would want to be doing twice.
  16. You are obviously working on an early 2004 truck (with a 2003 engine). With the information you've provided so far, I can only suggest you look at ICP readings. Another stupid question, but the engine oil level isn't overfilled is it? How about oil viscosity?
  17. Well, one thing's for damn sure. I give this meatball an 'A' for stubborness. Man oh man, what the hell did I start? I don't think autotrend.us has EVER had this much traffic in the whole entire YEAR, that it has in this one week alone!
  18. Well, if he doesn't mind having to replace head(s) for free, by all means try and shortcut this procedure. Those engines are BIG TIME interference engines that WILL bend valves without fail, if it is mistimed.
  19. Apparently the owner of this vehicle doesn't communicate well in English, is also a friend of the SM's. As I understand it, proper maintenance is not part of the equation, so it's getting an oil change to 10W30 (which it was due for anyways), and getting the boot (FUCK 'EM).
  20. I agree. I actually like the torque procedure better for the studs, than I do the factory head bolts.
  21. Thanks. Pretty much most of that was what I had read too. Yes, I'm well aware that IDMs are well known to be "water traps". As of this writing right now, the customer "authorizes" the work, but refuses to pay, so I refuse to play. Thanks for the good info Bruce.
  22. No I don't have a test IDM unfortunately. But if the UVC harness were to become dislodged, wouldn't there be a burning smell evident too? Wouldn't it be misfiring too? Yes, the this morning it did crank very slowly before it finally started. I am hesitant to service/replace the batteries due to the type of "usage" this vehicle is subjected to (read VERY low mileage). The reason for this post is due to the lack of 7.3Ls coming into my shop, and hence the lack of experience.
